Summary

Our organization is currently seeking two dedicated and qualified individuals to join our team as Ministers of Religion. As a Minister of Religion, you will play a crucial role in upholding the sanctity of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji and performing essential religious duties in accordance with the highest standard of the Rehat Maryada (Sikh code of conduct). This position requires proficiency in Punjabi, professional Santhiya training, and a commitment to the Sikh principles and values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Religious Duties:
- Maintain the sanctity of Guru Granth Sahib Ji at all times.
- Perform Prakash and Sukhasan of Guru Granth Sahib Ji daily.
- Conduct Nitnem (daily prayers, including Sukhmani Sahib).
- Engage in Asa di Vaar (daily hymn singing).
- Fulfil Paath Seva (prayer duties as applicable).
- Lead Kirtan and Katha Seva (daily hymn singing and discourse).

2. Qualifications:
- Amritdhari with a strong commitment to Sikh code of conduct.
- Fluent in Punjabi.
- Professional Santhiya training.
- Competent in reading Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to the congregation and conducting sermons.
- Proficiency in playing musical instruments (Tabla or Vaja/Harmonium).
- Previous experience in carrying out religious duties in a Gurdwara.
- Working knowledge of English, to assist with school visits (preferable)


3. Personal Qualities:
- Hardworking attitude.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work unsociable hours when required.
- Experience as a kirtaniya (ragi) during Kirtan Darbar.
- Good character, honesty, and a commitment to Sikh principles.

6. Additional Information:
