The role: Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be part of the Reporting team. This team has responsibility for journal processing, processing of other transactions, review of costs and providing meaningful commentary/understanding to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing regular reporting to influence performance and efficient cost control across the business.
Responsible for the preparation of regular reporting and monthly management accounts and supporting analysis to key stakeholders.
To ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and that any areas requiring action are dealt with promptly. Ensure a strong financial control environment and review compliance of key controls for the balance sheet account to SOX standards.
Review/validation of monthly salaried payroll and accurate processing into accounting systems.
To ensure completion of statutory returns in a timely and accurate manner.
To assist with review and testing of internal controls to ensure a robust control environment.
To effectively manage relationships with internal and external service providers
Ongoing identification and communication of risks and opportunities
Business Partnering our Support Teams to gain knowledge and feedback on key spend lines on the P&L
Involvement in the annual budgeting and ongoing forecast processes
What We're Looking For:
ACCA / CIMA / ACA part-qualified
Previous experience of management accounts preparation including accrual calculations, balance sheet reconciliations and accounting adjustments to tight deadline
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand a task as well as perform it.
