Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

A dynamic and pro-active Assistant Head of Year is sought as soon as possible to work closely with the Head of Year to address the needs of students, supporting them in overcoming barriers to learning and enabling them to achieve their full potential whilst raising standards of achievement, improvement, attendance and behaviour.

This role requires a candidate who is approachable, positive, reliable and patient. You will need to work independently with minimal supervision and be confident in mentoring students and communicating diplomatically with parents. The successful candidate will work with Year 7 for the remainder of this academic year and will move up through the School with this age group.

Hours of work are 37 per week, 08.00-16.00 Mon-Thu and 08.00-15.30 Fri (to include 30 minutes unpaid lunch break).

This is a term time only post plus two Staff Development Days.
