We are looking for a team player; someone who is willing to work alongside others and under the guidance of class teachers and the headteacher. Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate in a positive, encouraging manner are essential qualities. The successful candidate will play a key part in assisting in the delivery of an exciting curriculum for 27.5 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will: • Have experience of being a teaching assistant within a primary setting • Have worked with children with specific learning, physical and social needs. • Be a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills • Have high expectations of pupil behaviour • Contribute to the ethos of a friendly, happy school, in which the personal development and well-being of the children is given the highest priority.

As this post will result in you having substantial contact with children, and/or vulnerable adults the successful applicant will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Services check. With effect from 1 April 2016 it is a legal requirement for some categories of support staff to be registered with the Education Workforce Council for Wales.
