Summary
GOFALWR / CARETAKER20 hours per week
Hours of work: MORNINGS 7.30-8.30am
AFTERNOONS 3.00-6.00pm
*** The Governing Body would consider some flexibility within these hours, please ask.
Salary: In-line with FCC Single Status: Caretaker Profile: 4.8a Caretaker with Supervision CONTRACTED days are for the set term times of 39 weeks (190 school days and 5 training days).** Also - there maybe Contractual works planned for the school (by FCC or the Governing Body) during the Summer holidays, or the other school break times – which need to be planned for with the Caretaker. These days will be paid as extra hours. This work will be agreed and directed by Headteacher/Governing Body with the Caretaker.
HOLIDAYS: Bank Holidays & 23 days - to be arranged with the Headteacher/Governing Body but MUST BE TAKEN during school holidays. (However, if there is a special occasion – this would be considered on a special request and would need to be approved by the Governing Body).
This is a CARETAKER Role with cleaning duties. The Caretaker will be trained in cleaning H&S skills and will be the team leader to 2 Cleaners at Gwenffrwd.
JOB PROFILE: Main Duties and Responsibilities: • To comply with all procedures and instructions relating to school security and confidentiality.• To carry out a range of duties to provide for the general security and maintenance of the school premises• To be the main key holder responsible for the security of the school premises and to assist the line manager in ensuring adequate cleaning and cleaning cover is available during absences;• To undertake minor repairs within agreed levels of competency as agreed with the Governing Body.• To undertake cleaning duties and supervise cleaning staff and report any concerns to the line manager as necessary.• To be monitored on Caretaking and Cleaning standards by the Governing Body, and consequently, responsible for the allocation and appraisal of the work of cleaners.• To comply with all H&S regulations including undertaking necessary checks of furnishings and equipment under the direction of the line manager and to report back if there are any areas of concern.
