Summary

Pinnacle Group are looking to recruit an experienced Cleaning Manager to oversee the daily cleaning operations, supervise staff and ensure high hygiene health and safety standards across a patch of 7 schools in Swindon. In this role, you will manage staffing schedules, equipment, inventory and training while performing regular site inspections and audits.

Our Total Facilities Management team delivers integrated asset management and maintenance services across education, leisure, corporate, health and residential sectors.We focus on keeping facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently – helping our clients create spaces that work for everyone.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced cleaning manager with strong leadership skills, the ability to coordinate teams across multiple school sites, and a proactive approach to maintaining high-quality cleaning standards, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct line management and leadership to all site cleaning team and supervisors.
  • Ensure safe systems of work are always implemented. Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations (e.g., COSHH), conduct risk assessments, and handle hazardous materials correctly
  • Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety and security protocols.
  • Frequent recorded monitoring/audit of sites to review standards and performance
  • Ensure Risk Assessments / Method Statements are in place and adhered to for all Pinnacle / Subcontractor activities in schools for which you are responsible.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, materials and equipment and report faulty machinery.
  • Ensure most appropriate equipment and techniques are being used and advise on new techniques or equipment that may increase productivity or performance.
  • Attend all school FM Meetings ensuring actions are closed within agreed timescales.


Key requirements:

  • IOSHH or similar qualification
  • Previous experience in a cleaning management role.
  • Knowledge of H&S, Environmental Legislation and Practice relating to Cleaning Service delivery.
  • Strong team leading, motivational and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of cleaning techniques, chemicals and equipment.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
