Summary
The Nursing Associate in the Gender Affirmation Service will provide safe, compassionate, patientcentred care across the masculinising and feminising pathways. Working under the direction of Registered Nurses, the postholder undertakes a range of delegated clinical taskssuch as observations, venepuncture, ECGs, catheter care, uroflowmetry, and assisting with examinationswhile contributing to care planning, assessment, and escalation of clinical concerns. The role includes supporting pre and postoperative education, maintaining accurate records, liaising with service providers, and ensuring effective clinic communication. The postholder works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, upholds Trust and NMC standards, and contributes to a safe, inclusive environment that promotes highquality patient experience and service efficiency.
