SUPPORTED HOUSING OFFICER
LOCATION: Corporate Services
DEPARTMENT: Facilities Management
REPORTS TO: Head of Property and Facilities
WORK LOCATION: Work from home / Hybrid (Travel to services required)
Are you an experienced housing professional looking to step into a role where property management directly supports people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs?
At Walsingham Support, we are looking for a Supported Housing Officer to join our Facilities Management team.
The Supported Housing Officer will play a key role in ensuring our supported living properties are safe, compliant, financially sustainable and centred around the people who live in them.
This Supported Housing Officer position is ideal for someone who understands that good housing management is critical to delivering high quality social care.
ABOUT THE SUPPORTED HOUSING OFFICER ROLE
As a Supported Housing Officer, you will support the day to day delivery of our housing management function across a national supported living portfolio.
The Supported Housing Officer will:
o Assist in delivering a full housing management service across the organisation
o Prepare and issue tenancy agreements and tenant handbooks
o Support appointees with housing benefit applications and queries
o Work with finance and operations colleagues to set rents and service charges
o Monitor tenancy compliance and ensure agreements are adhered to
o Manage issues including rent arrears, anti social behaviour and tenancy breaches
o Issue notices where required and liaise with solicitors and insurers when necessary
o Lead tenant engagement activity, ensuring a person centred approach
o Support onboarding of new services, including mapping and system updates
o Contribute to property maintenance monitoring and budget oversight
o Work with surveyors, contractors and consultants on maintenance programmes
o Produce reports and performance data to support the Head of Property and Facilities
The Supported Housing Officer will also work closely with Health and Safety and Operations teams to ensure services remain compliant with legislation and regulatory standards.

To succeed as a Supported Housing Officer, you will need:
o Experience in housing management, supported living or social housing
o Strong knowledge of tenancy agreements and housing compliance
o Confidence managing rent processes and housing benefit queries
o Experience working with contractors and property maintenance providers
o Strong organisational and reporting skills
o A calm and professional approach to managing challenging tenancy situations
