Summary
Job Overview:
- We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our team.

Main Accountabilities:
- Daily Operations: Contribute to all aspects of the setting, including implementing operational plans, delivering educational programes, and managing health and safety routines.
- Integrated Care: Work in close partnership with staff from local primary schools to ensure a smooth transition for children between phases.
- Standards & Compliance: Uphold OFSTED standards, maintain accurate records, and promote policies regarding equalities and inclusion.
- Community Engagement: Help promote the setting to parents and the local community, assisting with marketing and multi-agency services.
- To contribute as an experienced practitioner to all aspects of the daily operation of the setting, including implementation of operational plans and procedures; delivery of curriculum and educational programes; catering; health and safety procedures, including safeguarding, cleaning routines and administration of children’s records.
- To provide full care and supervision for the children, ensuring that all their needs are met and working in close partnership with staff from local primary schools to provide fully integrated care and education and smooth transition from one phase to the next.
- To promote high standards of behaviour and discipline and to uphold and promote the setting’s policies on equalities and inclusion.
- To help promote the setting with parents, local schools, other early years settings and the local community and to assist with marketing activities.
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience working with children in an early years environment.
- Experience in multicultural settings is desirable.
- Strong understanding of early education principles, safeguarding legislation, and equal opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and recording skills, ability to use tact and diplomacy, and the fitness required for active early years tasks (including lifting/carrying).
