Summary

We're looking for an Environmental Manager to join Kier Design supporting our A417 Missing Link project team based in Gloucester.

Location: Gloucester - site based, with some working from home opportunities.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Environmental Manager, you'll be working within the Kier Design team, supporting them in delivering environmental excellence. Your day to day will include:

-Leading all environmental management and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to DCO and EMP commitments

-Working collaboratively with designers and construction teams to minimise environmental impacts

-Overseeing the implementation of the project's One Planet Action Plan and promoting sustainable solutions

-Obtaining necessary environmental permits, licences and consents in a timely manner

-Providing guidance, support and training on environmental issues to the wider project team

What are we looking for?

This role of Environmental Manager is great for you if:

-You have a degree in environmental science/sustainability (or equivalent) and are Chartered or a Practitioner member of ISEP working towards Chartership

-You bring demonstrable experience leading environmental management on large construction projects

-You have excellent knowledge of UK environmental legislation and a good understanding of various environmental issues

-You're a confident communicator who can translate technical information clearly to different audiences

-You enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders while being comfortable taking initiative
