Grade 5 £35,505 - £40,741 pa
(plus 18% rotating shift allowance and a 16.5% enhancement for each night shift)
Main Campus, Bedford House, Oxford Street, Liverpool.
The starting salary is £35,505 per annum, plus 16.5% night allowance and 18% rotating shift allowance.
Campus Support & Security Team Leaders provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and support to Campus Support & Security Officers and Assistant Officers. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming university community across a busy city-centre campus, halls of residences and a remote veterinary teaching campus. The role involves responding to changing situations and supporting students and staff who may need advice or assistance while adjusting to university life.
You will work a rotating 12-hour shift pattern of 4 on and 4 off (2 days followed by 2 nights, including weekends and Bank Holidays). A comprehensive training programme is provided, including enrolment on the NVQ Level 3 Facilities Manager Supervisor course, with opportunities to progress to further NVQ and degree-level qualifications. A full clean driving licence (not requiring HGV or PSV) is essential.
You will be:
• An effective communicator who can give clear instructions and guidance and aligns work with the University’s values.
• Able to develop, support and motivate a team to deliver a high-quality service.
• Confident in reviewing performance and giving constructive feedback.
• Skilled in coaching and mentoring colleagues to support their development.
• Organised, with the ability to plan ahead and allocate work effectively.
• Able to build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
• A strong problem solver, able to assess and manage risk and introduce new ways of working.
• Competent in using relevant software and systems to support decision-making and reporting.
• Resilient, with the ability to work calmly and professionally in challenging situations.
