Are you looking for a stable, full-time role in a local primary school? We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a long-term position starting ASAP in the Erdington area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule. Whether you are an Early Years specialist or prefer the academic challenge of Key Stage 2, we want to hear from you!
The Role at a Glance
- Hours: 32.5 hours per week (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
- Days: Monday - Friday (Term time only)
- Location: Erdington, Birmingham
- Duration: Long-term (with potential for permanency)
- Year Group: Flexibility for either Reception or Year 5
Which Path Fits You?
Option A: Reception (EYFS) If you love messy play, have a solid grasp of Phonics, and enjoy helping children hit those first major developmental milestones, this is your zone. You'll be the glue that keeps the classroom running through creative learning and social development.
Option B: Year 5 (KS2) If you prefer supporting students with more complex subjects like Fractions or Guided Reading, Year 5 offers a more conversational and academic environment. You'll play a key role in boosting confidence before they head into their final year.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience working with children (School-based preferred).
- A patient, adaptable, and "can-do" attitude.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for your preferred age group.
