Job Title: Full time - Support Worker
Location: York - YO24
Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour / Sleep-in at rate £10.42/h
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (08:00-20:00 Days / 20:00-08:00 Waking Nights) and Long Days (08:00-23:00 + Sleep-in)

About the Role
We are building a dedicated team for a vibrant, athletic young adult transitioning to a new residence in York. This is a high-energy role supporting an individual with Autism (PDA traits), ADHD, a Learning Disability, a Tuberous Sclerosis., and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).
Navigating the world through both verbal and non-verbal communication, our service user requires a team that can listen with more than just their ears. Because of these complex needs, we maintain a robust 3:1 staffing ratio, ensuring a safe, supportive, and thriving environment for everyone.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Engaging in and supporting daily sporting activities ( drawing, tennis, and long walks, ball games in the tennis court)
- Facilitating community access and social inclusion
- Supporting with daily living tasks and personal care
- Maintaining a high level of engagement during 12-hour day or waking night shifts
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns to the care team
Key Requirements
- Ideally be a driver not necessary
- Must be fit and active enough to participate in sports daily
- Minimum 6 months of professional care experience
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Up-to-date CV with full work history
