Summary
Person Specification We are seeking a pharmacist with a breadth and depth of clinical experience. Experience in Immunoglobulin and/or Immunology is desirable but not essential. However, applicants must demonstrate knowledge of NHS financial frameworks, high-cost drug commissioning, contractual management, and homecare systems. Registration as a non-medical prescriber is desirable but not essential. Main responsibilities Responsible for the leadership, delivery and development of the clinical pharmacy aspects of the North Bristol Trust (NBT) immunoglobulin, immunology and allergy services in accordance with Trust policies and procedures, national legislation and standards. Provide senior oversight and leadership of NBT Pharmacy provision to the North of the South-West Sub Regional Immunoglobulin Assessment Panel (SRIAP), Work as a highly specialised practitioner to deliver the clinical pharmacy aspects of the immunoglobulin and immunology services. Work across boundaries to contribute to the development of immunology home therapies services across the regional footprint served by NBT. Demonstrate a whole-system patient-focused approach. Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings and provide expert advice in pharmaceutical aspects of patient care. Support the education and training of junior pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, relating to aspects of clinical pharmacy and the use of immunoglobulins. Practice as an Independent Prescriber (desirable)
