We are seeking a highly experienced Programme Director to lead and oversee the delivery of high-impact transformation programmes that drive strategic business change.​

Acting as the critical link between strategic vision and operational execution, this role will shape, mobilise and steer complex initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring measurable value and lasting impact.

Job Description

We are seeking a leader with the credibility and influence to engage senior stakeholders across ISS and the client organisation.

In this pivotal role, you will lead the transformation of a major account of over 2,300 people, steering the operation from stabilisation to long-term optimisation.

Collaborating closely with senior ISS leaders and the client team, you will define the account’s strategic direction, deliver programmes successfully, and embed sustainable, high-performing ways of working that drive measurable, lasting improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end delivery of major transformation programmes, ensuring delivery to time, budget and quality.

Ensure programme outcomes remain tightly aligned to strategic business objectives and deliver tangible value.

Build and maintain strong engagement with executive sponsors, senior ISS leaders and client stakeholders.

Lead cultural, structural and process changes to embed new ways of working across people, systems and processes.

Define and manage programme plans, governance structures, RAID logs, steering groups and reporting cycles.

Identify, track and report programme benefits, supporting continuous improvement and lessons learned.

Oversee programme finances, monitor spend and ensure effective management of internal and external resources.

Act as a visible champion for transformation, ensuring clarity of purpose and sustained commitment across all levels.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Significant experience delivering complex Transformation, Transition and/or Mobilisation programmes.

Strong leadership and programme management capability across multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams.

Deep understanding of organisational change management principles and business transformation frameworks.

Proven experience working with executive stakeholders and presenting at board level.

Proficiency with programme and project management methodologies (MSP, Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2).

Ability to demonstrate presence, authority and credibility when working with senior ISS leaders and client partners.

Formal programme or change management qualifications (e.g., MSP, PMP, PRINCE2, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma).

Valid UK driving licence (travel required to Birmingham and other ISS sites).
