Summary
We are recruiting an additional Learning Mentor to join our expanding new school, providing support to our students in lessons, identifying their strengths and difficulties. The successful candidate will carry out effective intervention, which may be 1:1 or in a small group, planning appropriate personalised interventions as necessary. You will support teachers to enable our students to access learning by supervising and assisting them across a wide range of supported learning activities.
The Learning Mentor will:
• Undertake activities with individuals or small groups of students
• Enable our students to access learning
• Promote the development of students’ physical and mental health
• Carry out pre-planned activities
• Monitor the progress of identified students
• Promote and help build students’ self-esteem
Experience in a similar role would be beneficial, as would the ability to manage the behavioural difficulties and pastoral needs of individual and groups of students.
