Our Apprenticeships department is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Functional Skills Teacher to join our team. As an experienced educator, you will bring energy, expertise, and a learner focused approach to the classroom, supporting apprentices to achieve their best possible outcomes.
You will set high expectations, foster positive relationships, and work collaboratively with employers and colleagues across the College—particularly within the English and Maths teams to share best practice and continually enhance the learner experience.
About you
We are looking for a dedicated and qualified professional to join our Apprenticeships department as a Functional Skills Teacher. You will hold a relevant Level 3 qualification and a recognised teaching qualification, ideally with experience of delivering Functional Skills within vocational or apprenticeship settings.
In this role, you will demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills, adapting your teaching to meet the diverse needs of our learners. Excellent communication skills are essential, enabling you to engage effectively with apprentices, employers, and colleagues.
We are seeking someone who is committed to inclusion, learner success, and continuous professional development. You will work closely with Course Leaders to contribute to curriculum development and ensure the delivery of a high quality, engaging learning experience. An understanding of data protection regulations and a commitment to safeguarding are also essential.

Required
• GCSE Maths and English (Level 2 or equivalent)
• Level 3 qualification in the relevant subject area.
