Summary
EYFS Teacher – Full-time, temporary role for the summer term starting April 2026
This school provides a warm, nurturing, and well‑organised early years environment where children benefit from caring adults, consistent routines, and engaging learning experiences. Staff work collaboratively to maintain high expectations, helping children feel safe, confident, and motivated. Pupils respond positively to purposeful EYFS provision that supports communication, independence, and steady developmental progress.
Duties as EYFS Teacher:
- Teach a Reception or Nursery class full time for the summer term
- Deliver engaging EYFS lessons using established planning frameworks
- Support early literacy, numeracy, phonics, and play‑based learning
- Maintain consistent routines and a positive classroom atmosphere
- Adapt teaching to meet varied developmental and SEND needs
- Support pupils' social and emotional development through structured approaches
- Collaborate with EYFS colleagues to maintain high-quality provision
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal EYFS Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong EYFS experience
- Confident supporting a range of early developmental needs
- Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early learning pedagogy
- Warm, patient, and proactive in supporting young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organised, reflective, and committed to high‑quality early years teaching
