Summary


Job Title: PA to Bursars’

Hours / Weeks: Full time (37.5 hrs per week)

Salary: Grade 6 - (£32,348 p.a. - £35,333 p.a.) depending on skills and experience

Job Responsibilities:

The job holder will be responsible for the following:
Administrative responsibilities
1. To be the first point of contact for visitors to the Bursary, responding courteously and efficiently and to assist or redirect as required.
2. To manage the F&E Bursar’s and Home Bursar’s diary, organising events and ensuring attendance at meetings, including organising travel arrangements.
3. To act as the first point of contact for the F&E Bursar and Home Bursar, managing post and email, fielding telephone calls, handling enquiries or passing on information as appropriate.
4. To provide the full range of administrative support for the F&E Bursar and Home Bursar, ensuring the development and maintenance of efficient office systems, including assisting with the preparation and circulation of committee papers, taking minutes and updating information on internal and external websites.
5. To support internal communications across the College, preparing emails and other information as required.
6. To lead specific projects on behalf of either Bursar to achieve specific tasks or improve the administrative functions of the College.
7. To coordinate the processing of Freedom of Information requests, on behalf of the Bursar, requesting information from other departments when appropriate, drafting responses for the Bursar’s approval and ensuring a response is provided within the required timeframes.
8. Coordination and secretarial support for several ad-hoc project-specific Steering Groups. Several projects, including building projects, run concurrently, so a high level of organisation is needed.
9. Undertake other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time.
