Summary

GLE Junior is a foundational course in leadership and global systems for students aged 13–15.

As a bespoke course designed specifically for younger teens it has a unique identity, but also serves as a good stepping stone to the senior GLE programme and a UWC education at one of the UWC colleges.

The focus is on play-based systems learning, nature connection, and building self-confidence through creativity and collaboration.

As a team of 3, you will bridge the gap between experiential activity leader and teacher, using gamified learning and storytelling to introduce younger teens to systems thinking, global perspectives, and teambuilding.

The Instructor role requires high energy and a developmental mindset.

The period of work will be:

July 30 – August 16, 2026 (18 days inclusive)
Pre-Course: attendance at 2x virtual planning meetings (June/July)
Pre-Course: 1 x virtual safeguarding training (June/July)
Please see job description and person specification on our website for the full details of the role.

Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. Therefore, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible but the final closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 27th March, 9am.

*We reserve the right to close the posting early if we fill the roles prior to the final closing date

Please complete an application form and in the supporting information section ensure to outline your experience with the 13–15 age group and your interest in systems-based education. Please email completed application forms to recruitment@uwcatlantic.org.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must therefore have an existing and unrestricted right to work in the UK at the time of application.
