- Deliver high-quality Functional Skills English lessons across all levels
- Provide one-to-one and small group tuition tailored to individual learner needs
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons and adapt resources where necessary
- Monitor and assess learner progress, providing constructive feedback
- Support learners with exam preparation and confidence building
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and best practice
Ideal English Functional Skills Instructor:
- Experience teaching Functional Skills English is essential
- Ability to deliver lessons effectively to diverse learners
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to inspire learners
- Excellent organisational and classroom management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience
