Summary
Glebe House is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker / Team Leader. This is a full time role.
£13.10 phr
Working Night Shifts on a rota
Glebe House is a residential service located in the Georgian market town of Caistor, near Marken Rasen, Lincolnshire. The home supports 24 people with mental health needs. We are located semi-rurally, on the north-west edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. We aim to support our residents to build their daily living skills, enabling them to achieve greater independence. Our team are dedicated to supporting the people who live here to live a healthier and happier life.
What you'll be doing
Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.
You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK.
Responsibilities
Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings and support your peers with their performance and professional development
Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership
Assist with the management of site petty cash and client funds
Administering medication (training provided)
Directly calls for that day
Implementing and reviewing resident care plans
Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the site
Allocating shifts to the team
Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Community Mental Health Teams and Pharmacies
Acting Key Holder
Undertake First Aider / Fire Marshall training
