Summary
Patient Care & Assessment: Assess health needs, monitor vital signs, and provide direct, compassionate care.
Clinical Procedures: Administer medications, manage intravenous (IV) lines, treat wounds, and assist with, or perform, diagnostic tests.
Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation and electronic records.
Communication & Support: Educate patients and families on health conditions, and provide emotional support.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to infection control protocols and health and safety policies (e.g., COSHH).
Leadership & Delegation: Supervise junior staff, student nurses, and healthcare assistants.
