• Is passionate about teaching in a special needs setting

• Has experience of working with students with SLD, PMLD, complex needs and autism, or a particular interest in working in these areas
• Will inspire students to learn
• Has outstanding communication and teamwork skills
• Is creative, innovative and dynamic
• Is committed to excellence
• Has the vision, skills and energy to provide the best opportunity for every student within our school
Class teachers are expected to teach a range of subjects across the curriculum, so we are interested in hearing from primary school teachers as well as secondary teachers with an interest in SEN.
This role is suitable for ECTs and we provide full ECTE support.

Brentwood School is an outstanding special school which specialises in the education of students with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex needs and autism. Our school benefits from fabulous facilities and is co-located with a post-19 college. Student numbers are set to increase over the coming years and an extension to the building opened in September 2025.
