Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

From 1st September 2026, the Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspiring and motivated teacher of physics. The successful candidate will have the essential ability to teach at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

We welcome applications from professional and effective ECTs and experienced teachers, who are keen to join our high performing team at Ulverston Victoria High School. A full and appropriate induction programme is available for all ECTs.

This is a great opportunity for an exceptional and vibrant practitioner to join and contribute to a high-performing department. GCSE science results for progress are consistently excellent across both combined science and separate science. A-level numbers are healthy, and the science subjects are a very popular choice in the sixth form.

The successful candidate will share our passion for education and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
