Working as a Housekeeper Cook within this household requires a proactive and responsible approach, particularly as the principals travel regularly. The successful candidate will be entrusted with managing the home in the absence of the principals, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently. The role combines housekeeping, family cooking, and driving duties. You will prepare healthy meals for the family and occasionally for their friends, hosting up to six guests every fortnight. Full laundry care and ironing are required, as well as walking a small, well-behaved dog. The role also includes managing household bills and driving the two girls to and from school. A driving licence is essential, and a vehicle with automatic transmission may be provided if needed.

This is a live-out position in a semi-rural Berkshire village setting. Due to the driving responsibilities and the nature of the location, a valid driving licence is required. A vehicle with automatic transmission may be provided by the principals if necessary.
Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper Cook:
Managing the household independently during the principals’ frequent travel.
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the property to a high standard.
Providing full laundry care, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe organisation.
Preparing healthy, balanced meals for the family and catering for up to six guests every fortnight.
Planning menus and ensuring fresh, nutritious ingredients are used.
Managing household bills and overseeing general administrative aspects of the home.
Driving the two children to and from school safely and punctually.
Walking a small, well-behaved dog.
Demonstrating reliability, discretion, and a friendly approach towards the children.
