Summary

About the role

Join us as a Digital & Technology Change Partner and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Council’s digital landscape. You’ll work sidebyside with senior leaders and service teams, getting to know what they do and spotting opportunities where digital tools, data and smart technology can make a real difference. By building strong relationships with service areas, you’ll gain deep insight into how they operate, enabling you to provide constructive challenge, champion innovation, and ensure technology drives real value for our colleagues.

In this influential role, you’ll lead and guide services through their digital journey -creating futurefocused technology plans, supporting business cases, keeping an eye on new trends, and making sure we invest wisely. You’ll translate tech into plain, friendly language, work closely with our DDaT colleagues, and help shape projects from idea through to delivery. You need to be enthusiastic, collaborative, and passionate about using technology to improve lives.

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. You will be based at Bury Town Hall on site for 2 days a week or where projects require.
