LOCATION: Hybrid. Working from the Office in London (SW1Y) 3 Days per Week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and 2 Days from Home (Thursday and Friday)

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Brand Licensing & Commercial Executive to take ownership of brand licensing activity, commercial agreements and revenue performance within a global organisation.
This role is commercially focused, with primary responsibility for managing licensing agency relationships, reviewing and negotiating agreements, assessing new licensing opportunities and ensuring all commercial arrangements align with brand and financial objectives.
As the Brand Licensing & Commercial Executive, you will oversee licence agreements, challenge business cases, manage revenue reporting and ensure robust contractual governance. Sponsorship activity within the role is light-touch and focused primarily on rights management rather than activation delivery.
You will report to senior leadership and play a key role in protecting brand IP, reviewing commercial proposals and driving licensing income growth.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Brand Licensing & Commercial Executive include:
Licensing Strategy & Commercial Growth
• Manage the day-to-day relationship with the external licensing agency
• Review and assess new licence opportunities, challenging business cases and revenue projections
• Drive commercial growth through structured licence portfolio management
• Identify and evaluate new market and product category opportunities
Contract & Agreement Management
• Review Heads of Terms and licence agreements
• Negotiate commercial terms including royalties, minimum guarantees and territory rights
• Coordinate contract execution via Docusign
• Maintain accurate contractual records and governance documentation
• Work closely with legal teams to mitigate risk and ensure compliance
Licensee & Partner Management
• Act as the primary contact for key licensees
• Monitor licensee performance against contractual obligations
• Track sales reporting and royalty payments
• Ensure timely and accurate revenue reconciliation
Brand & IP Protection
• Approve licensee communications, packaging, product designs and press releases
• Oversee third-party use of intellectual property including livery and distributor proposals
• Ensure all brand usage complies with brand guidelines and contractual frameworks
Commercial Reporting & Financial Oversight
• Monitor budgets and track licensing revenue performance
• Report against commercial targets
• Analyse performance data to inform strategic decision-making
Sponsorship & Rights Management (Light-Touch)
• Oversee contractual rights management for existing partnerships
• Coordinate approvals and brand compliance activity
• Work with internal digital marketing teams on limited collaboration posts where required
Project Support
• Contribute to ad-hoc commercial and brand projects as required
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
• Proven experience in brand licensing, commercial partnerships, IP management or licensing management
• Strong understanding of licence agreements, royalty structures and commercial contract terms
• Experience reviewing and negotiating Heads of Terms and commercial agreements
• Demonstrable commercial awareness with the ability to challenge business cases
• Experience managing external agencies or licensee relationships
• Financial literacy with the ability to track revenue performance and analyse commercial data
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple commercial agreements simultaneously
• IT literate with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work independently
DESIRABLE
• Experience working with multinational brands
• Experience within the lubricants or related industry
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience managing international licensing programmes
