Summary

Core Learning Design/Training Responsibilities: Partner with SMEs to scope and translate current programmes into innovative learning experiences. Utilise your expertise in learning theories, online pedagogy, and instructional design methods to craft engaging and effective learning experiences. Advise SMEs on the development of formative and summative assessments that integrate seamlessly with our online platform. Participate in quality assurance reviews and ongoing analysis of course performance, offering suggestions for improvements where appropriate. Oversee the entire project lifecycle of a learning experience, keeping the commercial lead informed of risks, issues, and milestones achieved. Maintain up-to-date knowledge in learning sciences, instructional design principles, and emerging technologies to enhance both personal and professional development, as well as the quality of your designs. Develop complementary learning assets that enhance the overall learning experience. Ensure courses align with accrediting bodies' requirements when necessary. Develop rapid prototypes to articulate the vision before entering the full development cycle. Ensure content aligns with learning objectives developed in collaboration with SMEs. Provide reports on quality, engagement, and outcomes that align with the business strategy. Identify areas for continuous improvement based on lessons learned and modify processes as needed. Create exciting, creative, and engaging content that resonates with the intended audience. Incorporate UX design principles to ensure the learning experience is intuitive and user-friendly. Ensure all learning experiences and materials comply with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, UDL, UID, UDI) to provide an inclusive learning environment for all users. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for learners and instructors using the LMS. Implement mechanisms for collecting and acting on learner feedback to continuously improve the learning experience. Design learning assets aligned with brand guidelines using Canva. Leadership/Management responsibilities: Your role as a Learning Designer will not have responsibility for direct reports but will play a crucial role in managing projects related to the creation of learning experiences. Therefore, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from discovery and scoping to implementation and evaluation. You will be required to have strong project management skills, the ability to stay focused, meet deadlines, manage budgets, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. The following responsibilities align with your role as a Learning Designer: Oversee the full lifecycle of learning experience projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Manage and communicate with various stakeholders to align project goals and expectations. Conduct initial research (alongside the SME) and define the scope of projects to ensure they meet learning objectives. Create engaging and effective learning experiences using instructional design principles. Coordinate the rollout of learning experiences, ensuring all components are in place and functioning as intended. Assess the effectiveness of learning experiences through feedback and data analysis, making necessary adjustments for improvement. Maintain focus and ensure tasks are completed according to the project timeline. Keep projects on time and in budget ensuring financial resources are used efficiently. Ensure all learning experiences meet quality standards and deliver the desired outcomes. Stay updated with the latest trends in learning design and incorporate best practices into projects.
