Summary

Essential Requirements Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration. Demonstrates professional accountability, adherence to the NMC Code, and commitment to maintaining high clinical standards. Experience working in primary care or general practice. Confident in delivering evidencebased care within a GP setting, with an understanding of the pace, demands, and collaborative nature of primary care. Chronic disease management experience. Skilled in supporting patients with longterm conditions such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, or cardiovascular disease, including routine reviews and personalised care planning. Phlebotomy competence. Able to perform venepuncture safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate sample collection and a positive patient experience. Strong communication and organisational skills. Able to build rapport with patients, work effectively with the multidisciplinary team, and manage competing priorities in a busy clinical environment. Competent in IT and clinical systems. Comfortable using digital tools, clinical templates, and electronic patient records to ensure accurate documentation and safe, efficient workflows. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Confident in autonomous practice within scope, while also contributing positively to a supportive, collaborative team culture. Desirable Requirements Experience in primary care research or clinical trials. Understanding of research processes, patient recruitment, and protocoldriven activity within a healthcare setting. GCP certification (or willingness to undertake training). Commitment to delivering research in line with Good Clinical Practice and national governance standards. Experience using EMIS Web.
