Summary
Supportive Personal Assistant required in the Preston PR1 area
Are you an honest, reliable, and down-to-earth individual looking to make a real difference? A local lady and wheelchair user is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to provide essential support at home and within the community.
The Role
Because her mobility and health can fluctuate daily, she needs a flexible assistant who can adapt to her changing needs. Your primary focus will be managing the household through tasks such as shopping, laundry, and general domestic upkeep. You will also provide vital support with collecting medications and accompanying her to and from medical appointments.
Trust is at the heart of this role. While the position involves occasional personal care prompts, this will only be introduced once a strong, comfortable working relationship has been established. The client is eager to develop a more structured routine and begin exploring the community together, including attending social activities.
About You
• You share a love for music and animals.
• You are comfortable working in a smoking environment.
• You possess a genuine, patient nature and value clear communication.
• Prior experience working with vulnerable adults in the care sector is a distinct advantage but not essential.
• A drive with full clean driving licence preferred.
This is a part time position for 21 hours per week at £14 per hour, plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme. This post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
