Location: North West
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a market leader in the water and wastewater sector for an experienced CCTV
CCTV Drainage Operative to join a new three‑man CCTV team. You’ll carry out CCTV surveys of drainage networks across the North West, with strong development and progression opportunities.

The CCTV Drainage Operative Role:
Carry out CCTV surveys of sewer and drainage networks
Use advanced CCTV equipment to identify defects and record accurate data
Work in confined spaces and on highways (training available)
Provide excellent customer service
Complete paperwork and annotate drainage plans
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Manual handling, including lifting manhole covers
Flexible working, including occasional weekends
CCTV Drainage Operative Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to complete paperwork accurately
Knowledge of sewer networks and domestic drainage
Good problem‑solving and record‑keeping
Reliable, flexible, and able to work outdoors
Full UK driving licence
CCTV experience beneficial
Desirable:
Confined Spaces Certificate
NRSWA Signing, Lighting & Guarding
Outdoor/manual labour experience
Willingness to learn and develop
Health & Safety:
This role involves:
Lifting heavy items (e.g., manhole covers)
Entering sewers
Working outdoors in all weather, including occasional night work
