Summary

Senior Area & Stock Controller needed in Salisbury Paying £237.52 per hr ref 5290925

Full time hours on a temporary basis

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Area & Stock Controller to take a leading role in monitoring, assessing, and ensuring compliance across our residential property portfolio. You will be responsible for conducting stock condition surveys, identifying hazards, assessing lifecycle requirements, and ensuring our homes meet statutory housing and safety standards, including Decent Homes and HHSRS.

You will act as the technical lead for one of our key operating areas, working closely with Surveyors, Repairs teams, and the wider Asset Management function to maintain and improve the condition of our homes. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring our properties are safe, compliant, and well‑maintained for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Condition & Compliance
  • Carry out stock condition surveys, inspections, and property assessments.
  • Identify hazards and issues in line with HHSRS and other relevant regulations.
  • Evaluate building components and assess lifecycle and replacement needs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory housing standards, safety regulations, and best practice.
  • Produce clear, accurate technical reports and recommendations.
Area & Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical leadership within a defined geographic zone.
  • Support and guide Surveyors, Repairs teams, and asset colleagues.
  • Lead project-based work relating to stock condition, compliance, and asset improvement.
  • Act as the escalation point for property-related technical queries.
Asset Management & Data Quality
  • Contribute to the development of asset improvement plans and investment strategies.
  • Ensure asset management systems are accurate, up‑to‑date, and data-rich.
  • Identify priority works and future investment needs based on survey findings.
  • Support continuous improvement in asset data, processes, and service delivery.
