Hays are partnering with a leading premium FMCG brand‑building organisation to recruit a National Account Manager for their Northern Ireland team. This business represents some of the most exciting and high‑growth drinks brands in the market and is known for its entrepreneurial, fast‑paced and collaborative culture.
Your new role
- As National Account Manager, you will take full responsibility for a major strategic retail account - one of the organisation's largest and most commercially important customers.
- You will build long‑term relationships, deliver annual revenue and volume targets, lead head‑office negotiations and execute joint business plans across a high‑profile portfolio of drinks brands.
- You will manage pricing, promotional planning and commercial spend, ensure accurate forecasting, drive availability of core and NPD ranges, and work closely with Supply Chain, Commercial Finance, Brand and Trade Marketing, and Field Sales teams.
- Using category insights and market data, you will identify commercial opportunities, challenge the status quo and help bring new ideas and new brands to the retail marketplace.
What you'll need to succeed
- Recent experience managing major FMCG retail accounts (within the last 3 years)
- Strong analytical capability - able to interpret complex category and market data
- Proven commercial acumen with experience driving margin, ROI and promotional performance
- Background within drinks or wider FMCG essential.
- Experience negotiating at head‑office level and presenting commercial and financial arguments
- Ideally, experience managing multiple NI retail accounts
- Highly polished, structured communicator - blue‑chip FMCG experience desirable
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and collaborate with internal teams
- Driven, entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of challenging norms and creating new opportunities
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and data‑led reporting
