Summary
Location: Home-Based but with frequent travel to core group locationsWe have an exciting opportunity for a strategic and technically strong leader to join ZIGUP as our Head of Data Platforms. Reporting to the IT Director - Platforms, Data & Digital Services, you will be accountable for the delivery, reliability, security and continuous evolution of our enterprise data platforms. This role owns the end-to-end data and platform lifecycle across the Group, overseeing a diverse and evolving data landscape. You will ensure our data architecture, engineering capability, database services and governance framework are robust, scalable and aligned to business strategy, while driving greater standardisation and maturity across multiple platforms. You will lead the design, planning and ongoing improvement of our data platform estate, ensuring it provides trusted, secure and high-quality data foundations that underpin Business Intelligence, reporting and insight solutions across the organisation. Working closely with Business BI, Risk, Security and IT Governance teams, you will ensure operational integrity, regulatory compliance and high-performance data services that support current and future analytical needs, while shaping the future-state data platform strategy for the Group. About YouExtensive experience managing enterprise data platforms within complex environments.Proven experience leading and developing high-performing Data Engineering, DBA and Governance teams.Strong technical expertise across enterprise data architecture, integration patterns, storage strategy and lifecycle management.Demonstrable experience designing, building and maintaining scalable, secure and resilient data platforms.Experience implementing and embedding enterprise data governance frameworks, including ownership and stewardship models.Strong understanding of database administration, including availability, performance tuning, disaster recovery and capacity planning.Ability to collaborate effectively with Business Intelligence teams to deliver trusted, high-quality data foundations.Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders across the business.Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.Experience within vehicle hire, fleet management or claims management environments would be advantageous.
