We pay an attractive salary of £39,152 - £41,771 with an additional £3,551 annual market supplement, and offer access to training and development opportunities.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Caerphilly Childrens Services.
We are looking for Social Workers to join the Locality Teams. The teams are responsible for undertaking assessments of need, Child Protection Investigations, PLO and Care Proceedings. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and reviewing the support needs of both the children and their parents and putting into place appropriate interventions.
You will have excellent assessment skills and the ability to engage with children and their families effectively, with a focus on wellbeing and safety of the child. You will be skilled in developing and sustaining effective multi-agency working and will closely collaborate with professionals of every discipline. For the role, we ask that you have:
1. A Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor.
2. Up to date knowledge of current legislation Research and Practice issues in childcare.
3. Experience of working with children and young people their families and carers.
4. Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
