- Monday to Friday primarily 07:00-15:30, with flexibility for afternoon and events cover

Job Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Front of House Catering Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our FOH department.You will manage food service assistants and agency staff, ensure high standards in food presentation and customer service, and support the FOH Manager in delivering an exceptional catering experience. This role combines leadership, organisation, and hands-on operational expertise.
What you'll do:
Key Responsibilities
Supervise FOH operations, including preparation, service, stock management, and menu planning
Lead, motivate, and manage Food Service Assistants and temporary staff
Support FOH Manager in service delivery, events, and operational initiatives
Ensure full compliance with Sodexo policies, statutory regulations, H&S, and food hygiene standards
Build and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term partnerships
Recruit, induct, train, and develop team members; manage performance issues when necessary
Schedule staff in line with contract requirements
Drive additional revenue in catering areas
Maintain accurate accountancy, administrative, and documentation procedures
Conduct risk assessments and maintain compliance records
Deliver inductions, performance reviews, coaching, and team briefings
Monitor stock rotation, usage, and accuracy of stock counts
Maintain high standards of appearance, hygiene, and presentation
Attend meetings and training sessions as requested, and deputise for the FOH Manager when required
Support other sites as needed

Deliver consistent quality, service, and presentation across all food service areas
Manage and develop team members effectively
Full compliance with company processes and statutory regulations

Maintain a motivated and high-performing team
Skills and Experience
Essential
Proven experience in catering, food service, or hospitality
Knowledge of catering trends and innovations
Supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate staff
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy and understanding of budget management
Experience working in a compliance-driven environment
Desirable
Basic Food Hygiene certificate
Experience delivering training
Financial awareness and budgetary management
Leadership, coaching, and team development skills
