What will the Payroll Manager role involve?
• Leading the end-to-end payroll process to ensure punctual and accurate remuneration for all colleagues.
• Overseeing compliance with all relevant payroll legislation, including HMRC regulations and pension requirements.
• People Management of the Payroll Team.
• Providing leadership and mentorship to a dedicated payroll team, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Managing official submissions such as payroll tax returns, P60s, P11Ds, and gender pay gap reports in line with deadlines.
• Supporting wider HR and Finance functions, acting as a trusted advisor on payroll, benefits, and legislative updates.
Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Manager vacancy:
• Proven experience in payroll management, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong working knowledge of payroll systems, preferably CIPHR or similar software.
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communicator with the ability to lead, motivate, and build rapport with teams and stakeholders.
• Familiar with UK payroll legislation, including RTI, pensions, and GDPR compliance.
