Summary

Silcoates is a successful independent co-educational day school with a long and proud history. We achieve excellent academic results and offer a broad and stimulating variety of co-curricular activities. We are seeking to appoint a self motivated and highly organised lunch and playtime supervisor. The school is set in 60 acres of grounds in Wrenthorpe, near Wakefield, within easy reach of the M1 and M62, offering an all-through, fully co-educational day school experience for children from 2 to 18.

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our team to provide support in supervising pur pupils during lunch and break times. This will include supporting our Pre School children during their lunch times, helping with eating and tidying up. You will also oversee the Pre-School and Junior School children at lunchtime, ensuring behaviour standards are maintained, and will undertake duties in the playground and sports pitches to ensure all of our pupils are safe. Outside of lunch and play times you will support our teaching staff by assisting them in the classroom or around School.

The successful applicant will be able to show that they have worked with children in the past, ideally in a school setting and with similarly aged children. You should be reliable, friendly and self-motivated. You should have an awareness of safeguarding and child protection issues and be committed to upholding the School’s procedures.
