Job Title: Support worker/Personal Assistant
Hours per week: 10 hours per week, to be worked 2 hours per day across 5 days per week, Some flexibility may be required on occasion, this will be agreed mutually in advance. Hours and days can be discussed further at interview.

Rate of pay: £14.80 per hour
About me:
I am an active 40 year old military veteran living at home with my family and friendly dogs. I love the outdoors, hiking, walking my dogs and going to the gym. I am a car enthusiast and enjoy doing DIY mechanics at home.
I am looking for a friendly personal assistant to support me to continue do the activities that I enjoy, to support me to get out, keep me motivated on my bad days, keep me safe, keep me company and to allow me to continue to be independent.
I have a speech impairment which is managed with medication, and I can also communicate via technology.
A driving license and access to a vehicle is required by applicants to support me to attend these activities.
Food hygiene, and first aid qualification will be required prior to starting, these will be fully funded.

Task and duties, to include any or all the following:
To take me out and about and accompany me to take part in activities and interests such as walking and going to the gym.
To support with food preparation within my home on occasion.
To keep me safe when out and about and keep me company.
Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed.
Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.

The kind of person I am looking for is someone who:
Has a full driving license, access to a vehicle and class 1 business insurance.
Has first aid and manual handling training, or is willing to complete these certificates (these will be funded).
Will promote and support confidence and independence.
Has a person-centered approach and a genuine interest in supporting people to achieve their goals.
Can follow instructions and will establish a professional standard of care, to be always maintained.
Will not use their personal mobile phone at work unless in an emergency.
Is trustworthy, kind, punctual and reliable.
Is patient and supportive with good listening skills and an ability to provide non-judgmental emotional support.
Maintains confidentiality and respects the privacy of the family, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.
Can work flexibly, adapting to the variable requirements of this role as required.


The role is dependent upon a DBS and 2 references.
