Summary

Our Mauchline service is currently recruiting for a Complex Needs Practitioner Level 2!

Due to the needs of the service, we can only accept applications from candidates who have a valid UK Driving Licence and access to their own cars.

The Complex Needs Practitioner – Level 2 will assist the Senior Support Worker in the provision of direct support as outlined in the individuals Support Plan; ensuring that all support provided is of the highest quality and will provide day-to-day support to people within TRFS services. They have a responsibility for ensuring that they fully understand and are able to deliver support appropriate to the individual.

The Complex Needs Practitioner – Level 2 role may include but not be limited to:

Assisting individuals with persnal care and hygiene
Husehold management tasks
Wrking with individuals who can display challenging behaviour
Wrk with individuals who may have been through the criminal justice system
Accmpanying individuals who have religious beliefs that may differ from your own
Wrking with individuals who smoke; including indoors in a smoking environment
Lone working

Wrking various shift patterns including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays (including Christmas and New Year).
Key responsibilities

Provision of Support



Assist the management team f the service in the provision of direct support as outlined in each individual’s Support Plan.
Ensure full understanding f the Support Plan and communicate accurately and efficiently how the support plan is being delivered
Assist the management team in the planning and the supprt required by each individual supported
Maintain an accurate diary f support, and be accountable for any expenditure incurred in supporting individuals
Use the Psitive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan to carry out the strategies to support the individual
Wrk with others to develop an insight into the individual, their behaviours and their understanding
Assist in the mnitoring and evaluation of the individual support plans
Protection of Vulnerable Groups


Complex Needs Practitioner – Level 2, in common with all TRFS staff, have a duty to protect supported individuals from abuse and to report any concerns immediately to their supervisor or other management. All staff have a duty to ensure they comply with requirements under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

Communication


Complex Needs Practitioners – Level 2 are responsible for effectively communicating relevant information to their Senior Support Worker and/or other members of the support team regarding any changes in the individuals support needs

Compliance with TRFS Policies and Procedures
Staff should familiarise themselves with the organisations policies and procedures and work within the TRFS policy framework, including Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Discipline and Confidentiality

Personal Development
Cmplex Needs Practitioners – Level 2 should demonstrate a commitment to continuous personal development and learning. ]
Receive and participate in supervisin and appraisals with their line manager
Undertake training as necessary including CALM training
Supprt less experienced staff in their own learning and development
Act up int the role of Senior Support Worker as required
