Council Tax Officer - Permanent full-time position (37 hours per week)

The Council Tax Team are responsible for administering Council Tax, ensuring the accurate and prompt billing, collection and recovery of accounts. We're looking for a dedicated Council Tax Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll be on the front line of council services, ensuring our residents are billed correctly and that we're able to collect the revenue needed to fund essential local services. If you have experience of dealing with customers in a Council Tax environment, have excellent communication skills and can prioritise your own workload to meet set targets and deadlines, we would love to hear from you.

Essential requirements;

This is a challenging but rewarding role in a really busy environment. The successful candidates will have experience in a Council Tax role and need to demonstrate that they are customer focussed, self-motivated and able to work well, both within a team and on their own.

Although training will be given, we do need applicants to show they are experienced users of IT applications, specifically MS Office and have a track record of managing conflicting priorities and delivering targets effectively.

Working location

We offer flexible arrangements for working either in an office, from home or, a combination of both, for the right candidate. Our local offices are based in Thanet, Dover and Canterbury.
