Summary
What You Will Do Clinical Practice Independently assess, diagnose, and manage MSK presentations, including complex cases. Request investigations such as imaging and blood tests, and make appropriate referrals. Create tailored selfmanagement plans that support behavioural change and longterm recovery. Use your full scope of practice, including prescribing and injection therapy (where qualified). Record utilisation data daily and collect Patient Satisfaction Questionnaires (PSQs). Collaboration & Development Work as part of a GPbased MDT and build strong, positive relationships with practice staff. Educate colleagues on MSK triage pathways and provide informal clinical guidance. Support clinical audits and contribute to service improvement initiatives. Help shape and refine local MSK care pathways. Leadership & Learning Participate in supervision and peerreflection sessions. Continue progressing against the HEE Roadmap to Practice. Contribute to clinical governance and mentoring where appropriate. What Were Looking For Essential HCPC and CSP registered Physiotherapist. Minimum 5 years postgraduate clinical experience. Minimum 3 years MSK clinical experience. Understanding of the HEE Roadmap to Practice and the MSK Core Capabilities Framework. Active CPD portfolio aligned to the four pillars of advanced practice. Desirable MSc Level 7 modules. Prior FCP or MSK triage experience (NHS or private sector). Experience working in GP practices. Experience using EMIS or SystmOne. Qualified in injection therapy and/or Independent Prescribing. Key Skills Confident, friendly, and collaborative, with the ability to integrate smoothly into GP practice teams. Able to build strong working relationships with GPs, reception teams, nurses, and MDT colleagues. Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills. Calm, resilient, and proactive in a fastpaced and evolving healthcare environment. Comfortable using digital tools and modern clinical systems.
