Summary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Jig and weld the components into weld assemblies to a high standard in line with the engineering drawings and company standards
• Safely operate workshop equipment
• Ensure workshop equipment is well maintained
• Clean down workshop/equipment after use
• Report problems/potential problems to the Department Supervisor

Support other departments as and when necessary to include:-

PAINT TEAMS
• Assist operating the shot blasters as and when required
• Hang and prepare components ready for painting
• Empty paint booths and clean down
• Ensure quality standards are maintained
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment as required

ASSEMBLY
• Assembly of Company Products/Components
• Use of Hand Tools and Impact Tools

STORES
• Assist preparing stores orders
• Receive and process stores stock products (pick, unload, label, store)

Health & Safety
• Strict adherence to the company’s health and safety policies and procedures at all times including compulsory usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Report any incidents, including near misses, to the Department Supervisor and complete relevant supporting forms
• Utilise training, skills and knowledge to recognise and assess potential risks throughout each day.
• Help to ensure all working environments are safe and secure at all times
• Maintain all areas in a clean and tidy condition to ensure a safe and secure working environment





General
• Undertake any other reasonable duty or task within your capability which the Company deems appropriate and suitable
• Liaise with work colleagues, as required
• Identify and meet personal job-related training and development, as required
• Provide assistance in terms of general and specific business support, as and when required
• Hours in excess of those contracted may be required from time to time to meet production targets

• Stainless steel welding (MIG & TIG)
• Ability to safely operate equipment such as band saws, mills, lathes, drills, punching machines, plasma cutters, press brake, guillotines to make the required components
• Telescopic Truck/J2/J4/Counterbalance Licence/MEWP/Scissor Lift/Crane Certificates
• Computer Literate
