Construction Manager

£60,000 - £65,000

Dartford

We’re Ambitious!
That’s why we’re keen to hear from determined and motivated people like you, to help deliver excellence for our clients and ourselves!

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our growing Energy team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in delivering primary substation projects, supporting works from early planning stages through to successful completion.

You will provide direction across the pre-construction phase, establish effective delivery methods and maintain close control of project expenditure. Your leadership will ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme expectations.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…

  • Taking responsibility for allocated projects to ensure completion in accordance with safety, technical and legislative standards
  • Carrying out site visits and attending project initiation meetings, tracking performance and providing consistent updates
  • Working closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders to achieve critical programme milestones
  • Implementing project execution plans aligned to agreed delivery strategies
  • Promoting collaborative working practices and maintaining strong, proactive relationships with clients
  • Providing visible leadership on site and encouraging a culture of accountability and high performance

We would love to hear from you if…

You have a strong understanding of the power sector, supported by substantial practical and technical experience within energy or infrastructure environments. You will be confident analysing complex challenges and providing well-considered solutions, with clear and professional communication skills.

Experience working under NEC3 contracts is essential, along with solid planning and programming capability. Knowledge of substation construction, high-voltage electrical systems and associated civil engineering works will be highly advantageous, particularly where you have supported or led project management functions.

You will have a proven track record delivering multi-million-pound schemes, including financial reporting and forecasting responsibilities. Confidence when engaging with clients and leading discussions is important, as is the ability to represent the business professionally.

A full UK driving licence is required, and experience relating to NRSWA is essential.
