Join our dedicated team atYork Nuffield Hospital, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional food services to both patients and staff. You'll lead a dynamic team of 12 professionals in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, ensuring every meal meets the highest standards of quality and safety. From managing staffing to overseeing patient and staff feeding operations, you'll be at the heart of a busy healthcare setting. You'll also have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients, attend key meetings, and represent Sodexo with pride. What You'll Do:

  • Ensure all provisions are ordered in line with Sodexo policy, using Drive or nominated suppliers for non food goods
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of kitchen and food service areas, reporting issues promptly
  • Manage team performance through training, induction, and competency assessments to ensure service excellence
  • Oversee compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including audits, temperature checks, and health and safety protocols
  • Control staffing rotas and manage labour within budget to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Handle billing, cashing up, and account closing in accordance with Sodexo procedures
  • Liaise professionally with hospital management, clients, and subcontractors to ensure service delivery
  • Manage deep cleaning, equipment maintenance, and contractor schedules to uphold hygiene standards

What You Bring:

  • Organised and by able to deliver on time
  • Track record of developing and leading a team
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite
  • Previous management experience in delivering results
  • Experience in managing client relationships
  • Food Safety level 3
  • ⁠Managing high health and safety standards
