Hours: 45 per week (07:30 - 17:30)
Rate: £30.00 per hour (Umbrella)
The Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Civils Operative (Shuttering Joiner / Carpenter) to support works at Pembroke 400kV Substation as part of a major extension project. This is a full-time temporary position to provide additional capacity within the Energy division, working on a live infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication and installation of formwork
- Placing and finishing concrete
- Working accurately to Temporary Works Designs
- Assisting steel fixers with installation of rebar
- Constructing signage frames and ad hoc timber items as required
- Supporting reinforcement installation where required
- Maintaining strict adherence to site health & safety procedures
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in formwork and shuttering carpentry
- NVQ (or equivalent) in Formwork/Carpentry
- National Grid Person ticket (mandatory)
- Manual Handling certificate
- Experience working to Temporary Works Designs
- Full PPE (must be in place before attending site)
Desirable (Not Essential):
- Slinger/Signaller
- Banksman
- 3 Day First Aid
Additional Information:
- 45 hours per week
- 07:30 - 17:30 working day
- Umbrella payment only
- IR35 pre-assessment completed
