We are looking for a proven Industrial Cleaning Manager based in Manchester with experience managing industrial environments, specialist cleaning operations, high-risk sites, and multi-service delivery.

The Opportunity
The company are a fast-growing national facilities management and industrial cleaning provider that have been in business for over 30 years with significant growth plans across the UK, due to expansion, they are seeking a strong, hands-on Industrial Cleaning Manager to take full operational responsibility for multi-site delivery across:

Industrial cleaning
•
High-level and specialist window cleaning
•
Grounds maintenance
•
Specialist project works
This is a leadership role for someone who understands RAMS, compliance, productivity, workforce planning, and delivering high standards in demanding environments.
Responsibilities
•
Full planning and scheduling of industrial and specialist cleaning works
•
Reviewing site surveys and allocating correct labour, equipment, and access methods
•
Conducting regular audits and quality inspections
•
Reacting quickly to operational challenges and client demand
•
Managing and developing operatives and supervisors across multiple sites
•
Driving accountability, performance, and productivity
•
Handling absence management, performance issues, and disciplinary matters
•
Promoting a strong safety-first culture
•
Acting as the main operational contact for key clients
•
Resolving issues professionally and promptly
•
Managing expectations, variations, and service standards
•
Building long-term client relationships
•
Ensuring RAMS are accurate, implemented, and followed
•
Enforcing PPE compliance and safe systems of work
•
Monitoring vehicle checks and fleet compliance
•
Reporting and acting on incidents, hazards, and near misses immediately
•
Systems & Performance Reporting
You will be expected to confidently use digital systems for:

Job scheduling and workflow management
•
Fleet tracking and route planning
•
Time & attendance monitoring
•
Performance reporting and compliance tracking
What We Are Looking For
✔ Proven experience managing industrial cleaning operations
✔ Experience overseeing multi-site teams
✔ Strong knowledge of RAMS and health & safety compliance
✔ Confident leader who can challenge, motivate, and hold teams accountable
✔ Organised, decisive, and solutions-focused
✔ Comfortable using digital operational systems
✔ Full UK driving licence
