Summary

This is a training and development role designed to build professional capability and experience through exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle from feasibility and design development through procurement, delivery, commissioning, and handover.

You will provide professional, administrative, and coordination support to Project Managers and Engineers in delivering a diverse range of capital, refurbishment, and maintenance projects across the University estate.

Working as part of the Campus Infrastructure team, you will be supported to gain the Associate Project Manager (APM) qualification, and will play an active role in project planning, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement while developing the technical and managerial skills required to progress.

You should:
* be working towards or holding an initial project-management qualification (eg RICS, CIOB)
* have experience providing project or technical support within a construction, engineering, or estates environment
* have an understanding of the project lifecycle from feasibility and design through procurement, delivery, and handover
* have demonstrated ability to coordinate documentation, minutes, and reporting for multiple projects

Further information

This role is based on campus and there will be an expectation to be on site 5 days per week. You should also be prepared to undertake training so that you can progress from a training role (G6) to a developing professional (G7), with the potential to move into a Project Manager (G8) role if a vacancy arises in the future.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact James Cogan, Deputy Director (Major Campus Infrastructure Projects) at jmc257@bath.ac.uk or Guy Gale, Deputy Director (Projects) at grg27@bath.ac.uk
