A bit about us:
Broad Town CE Primary is a very small, friendly, village school on the outskirts of Royal Wootton Bassett, within easy reach of Swindon and the M4. As a Church of England school, our Christian vision and values are at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to provide a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. We have strong community links and a culture of kindness.
We would like to recruit a positive, enthusiastic and experienced teacher with the knowledge and skills to teach a mixed age Reception / Year 1 class of just 12 children.
All about the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to teach a mixed-age class, combining the wonder and curiosity of the Early Years Foundation Stage with the growing independence of Key Stage 1.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of both Reception (EYFS) and KS1 pupils.
Create a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment where every child thrives.
Plan creatively across the EYFS and National Curriculum frameworks.
Use effective assessment strategies to support progress and attainment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all children.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
Is a qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in EYFS and Key Stage 1.
Has a strong understanding of early child development and phonics.
Is reflective, organised and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
Brings energy, warmth and a genuine love of working with young children.
Values teamwork and contributes positively to school life.
Interest and experience in outdoor learning and forest school.
